About the Role
We are seeking a highly-skilled Proposal Manager that plays a critical role in our company by leading the development of high-quality, winning proposals for potential clients. This role involves managing the entire proposal process, from gathering requirements to final submission, ensuring compliance with client specifications and company standards. This ideal candidate will have a strong background in proposal development, excellent communication skills, and a strategic approach to creating compelling proposals that meet client needs.
Proposal Management Responsibilities:
• Lead the end-to-end development of proposals, from initial request through submission.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to gather proposals requirements and develop proposal strategies.
• Develop proposal outlines, schedules, and compliance matrices to ensure all requirements are met.
• Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with client needs and company messaging.
• Coordinate with graphic designers and other team members to create visually appealing and professional proposal documents.
• Manage the proposal review process, including scheduling and faciliating review meetings, collecting feedback, and incorporating revisions.
• Ensure proposals are submitted on time and in accordance with client specifications.
• Maintain a library of proposal content and templates.
• Track and report on proposal metrics, and analyze effectiveness.
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and competitor strategies related to proposal development.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience (2+ years) in proposal managment, preferably in a B2B environment.
Strong project managment skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
Excellent written, verbal communication, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
Experience working cross-functional teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge of proposal best practices, including proposal development methodolgies and processes.
Deep understanding of security solutions, technologies, and industry trends.
Familiarity with government or large corporate proposal processes (if applicable)
